Favourite Music Videos

I love music and most genres, as I listen to a range of music. My taste in music is vast from rock, jazz, pop and old school R&B anthems and many more genres. Its impossible for me to have just one favourite music video so I've chose 5 MV I love.

Hypothetically By Lyfe Jennings Ft. Fantasia 

I love this Music Video its one of my all time favourites. Its got a very unique storyline and in the way in which its told. The message behind the song is really what drives the music video which is what makes it so unique along with the artist himself who I love. The use of the 2 angels looking in on this couple almost represent the audience as they are also outsiders looking in. The entire theme behind the song is weather or not you would want to know certain information or weather it should just be left untold.

  Demons By Imagine Dragons 

The beginning of the video makes you think its going to be performance based, however this MV is extremely clever as its storyline lie within the audience to this concert the band (artist) is playing to. The audience are seeing the "demons" of people in the concert through there eyes which is heavily influenced by the lyrics of the song.

 Top of the World By Greek Fire

When i first saw this music video I immediately fell in love. I've watched it over 20 times since. Editing to the beat is strong in this music video as seen right from the start. The transitions and relation between the boy and the lead singer are strong and they correlated it well within the shots. It had narrative and performance and the lively and playful nature of the song is expressed though the child and the singer when he joins him.

 Stereo Hearts By Gym Class Hero's 

 This is my favourite Gym Class Hero music video because its quite unique in the way it uses there shadows with its interesting urban settings. The tipping upside-down camera angles also show the fun and upbeat nature of this video. The street dance and lip-syncing within the TV keeps the audience engaged. 

 Shake It off By Taylor Swift

Simple single coloured but effective background settings. Different genres of dance used such as Ballet, street dance and contemporary as well as Taylor Swift playing some famous people like Will.i.am, Fergie and Lady Gaga. The video is solely performance based however it is effective as her performance reflects the fun, informal, free and uncaring (of what others think) nature/message of the song.
